Hi,
I have just ground the last of my first bag of Dead Man's Reach and I just
have to let you know that I have NEVER had a better tasting coffee. I
picked up your brand on a whim, as I'm always trying new coffees, and what
a wonderful surprise! The aroma AND the flavor are superb. I brew my
coffee very strong and with other brands, that usually results in a harsh
cup that takes the paint off my stomach (So to speak). Much to my
delight, with your Dead Man's Reach, the flavor was intense and my tummy
was happy as well. Just so you know I'm not just talking, I have already
reordered, and am trying another brew of yours as well.

Thank you for your great coffee!!! I'm serving over in Iraq with the Army,
and your coffee, believe it or not, is like the morning sun after a long
stressful night. I like nothing better than setting down with a good,
strong cup of Wicked Wolf, and forgetting about roadside bombs and human
stampedes. Well, have a great day, and keep up the good work.........

....I think I've been buying from Raven's Brew for something
like three years. For the first two, I tried a little of this and a little
of that from other roasters... So here I am, and
here I plan to stay, sippin' away at Kodiak Koffee, with some unblended
Sumatran from time to time.
Thanks for working to make fine, consistent coffees.
Yours,

Dear Coffee Gods,
...My wife and I have been huge fans and
dedicated consumers for several years now. We order pretty regularly every
few months just so we can spoil our selves silly with the absolute best
coffee we've ever tasted. But I'll never forget the first time I placed an
order. It was shortly after we had just bought our first home in 2000. I
remember a few years before that, we had been vacationing in Bar Harbor,
Maine, and we had stumbled upon a store that sold Raven's Brew t-shirts. At
the time we had never heard of Raven's Brew, but the shirts were too cool to
pass up. So when we got a computer, your website was one of the first sites
I checked out. I decided to place an order, but thought that I screwed
something up. So I decided to call the 800#. To my amazement, Mr. Beech was
the one that picked up the phone. We talked briefly and I explained my lack
of computer skills. He was extremely helpful and it didn't take long to
figure out how passionate he is about his work. I placed my order, and we've
been absolutely hooked ever since....

I found Ravens Brew coffee on a recent trip to Sitka, and can't get enough
of it -- the Ethiopian Mocha Harrar was by far my favorite..
Then I logged into the site a few days ago and decided to check out the
Cherry Karma, this is by far the best coffee I have ever tasted! Just put
in an order for another 3 packages, this stuff is gonna go fast!
I don't want to recommend it to anyone for fear that they will keep ordering
it and there will be less for me.
PLEASE keep this bean!
Thanks for an amazing roast,

Hi Ravens Brewmasters...
I recently splurged and bought Deadman's Reach at Whole Foods. I have to
confess that i was drawn to it because of the indescribably delightful
memento mori/grateful dead feel that the label had. You know, they say
packaging is everything, but the beans lived up to the title. Prior to this
i had been developing a mean Turbo Ice (settle down, it's coffee, not crank)
habit at the Dunkin Donuts- and while I feel that my Urdu might have been
improving after every drive-through visit, I knew there was something else
out there.
Today i even ditched (well, not really, retired) the old MANUAL coffee bean
grinder in favor of an electric one for these special beans. Don't you feel
special NOW?
Anyway, love it love it love it. Next comes a Tshirt purchase, if i can wean
myself off of the ebay habit...

Last fall, I was traveling on my way to Charlottesville, Va., from my home
in Crofton, Md. Took "back roads" and came to a typical country crossroads:
mom & pop restaurant/gift shop/gas station on one corner, a rival restaurant
on another corner, and can't even recall what was on one other corner.
Probably a tractor store.
Anyway, I decided to break for some food and went into the mom & pop
establishment. Before sitting at the counter, I decided to browse around
the gift area.
And there you were... Raven's Brew. In "East-Tree-Stump" Virginia.
I could not believe my eyes.
I had been to Ketchikan in the summer 2002, happened to stop at your coffee
house (the aroma was mesmerising!) and enjoyed my one and only cup of
Raven's Brew. Bought a travel mug and dreamed of your coffee ever since.
Seriously.
But I closed my eyes and was instantly transported back to Alaska; the
wonderful adventures, the extraordinary beauty, the fun, fun, fun
residents... and Raven's Brew. Deeeeep inhale! Aaaaah!
So I bought a t-shirt, a bag of coffee and was very content.
Just got back from another trip to beautiful Alaska and all I could think
about was coffee, coffee, coffee! Bought a bag of Skookom (sp?) and another
travel mug (lost the other one somewhere on this planet!).
Continued success and NEVER offer us anything but the best, as you always
have!
Sincerely,
G

Dear Raven's Brew,
I may have to sue Raven's Brew for pain and suffering. My life has
not been the same since having tasted Raven's Brew coffees. Ever since
consuming Deadman's Reach, and Espresso Chocolon, I have not been able to
drink ....
I made a pot of Raven's Brew Espresso Chocolon, and drank it . It was rich,
strong, and silky-smooth. It was possibly the most incredible cup of coffee
I had ever tasted. .... As close to a perfect blend as I've come across.
I currently work two jobs, both involve driving. Some nights I get in after
2am, and have to be persuaded out of bed with a cattle-prod in the morning.
I stumbled out of bed on one such morning, and made a pot of Deadman's
Reach. I took a sip when it was ready. First one eye snapped open, then a
half-a-sip later, the other eye snapped open. Another couple of
heartbeats, and I was ready to dash out the door and face my day.
The next I made a pot of...... my chosen brand; and what I had considered
the best commercially available coffee. I took a sip, and spit it out. It
tasted like muddy water!! I Dumped the pot, and made some Raven's Brew.
So as you can see, my pain and suffering is quite apparent...
Sincerely, P
A rather wicked-himself-Wolf.

Howdy Michael. It is wonderful to have the big wheel appreciate a customer
letter and respond. You have cemented my patronage, and my "significant and
awesome" influence on coffee drinkers across the western states. I spend
about 200 days per year in hotels traveling CA, AZ, NV and HI as a factory
rep for outdoor companies... I blast through tons of coffee in client presentation (note, my usage of
tons is a far cry from actual "tons". it is more like tons compared to the
average individual coffee drinker). I pour for early morning hikes, consumer
events and client BBQ's. Frankly, I am a tremendous bore and my clients
need 'mas caffeine just to hang through one of my droll and lifeless
presentations.
We shall here fore pour only Ravens Brew. None other shall taint our lips
or spoil our palette. Just imagine.. a company president who answers
customer email. Remarkable.
Received my shipment..ready to roll.
Thank you for great service,
J D

I just returned from 10 days in Alaska, where the encounters I had with your
coffee, artwork, mugs and t-shirts kept me smiling all the way. I'm not the
biggest coffee aficionado around - one cup a day staves off the headaches -
but I'm a huge fan of small companies that manage to kick the big
corporations' butts, simply by being better and more fun. Now that I'm back
home and have found your terrific website, I think it's time to up the
quality of my coffee consumption and try many more of your blends.
My first order will be to buy samples for a group I'm in that reads and
discusses The Sun magazine. We're all working on 'Readers Write' letters
about Coffee. I didn't think I had much to talk about until my trip, but
between your company and those crazy coffee huts all over Alaska, it'll be
easy! Hope you don't mind if your coffee names and URL go into my letter,
you're way too good to keep secret!
Thanks for the memories,
S

Hi
I first enjoyed Ravensbrew while on a cruise in Alaska. It's been a couple
of years since then, but I was talking with a coworker (she has years of
roasting experience) yesterday about what my favorite blend was, and that it
is hard to find. I also told her that I was going to check your website to
see if you had it. You do! I don't know what you guys do, but your coffee
is the best! Keep it up.

Hello!
We visited a shop in Ketchikan last week which sells your coffee,
T-shirts and other gifts. We bought a bag of coffee + (3) T-shirts and took
home with us to Burbank, California. We tried your coffee and it's
EXCELLENT - it really gave me such a good jump start, that when I got to
work I didn't need any more coffee for the rest of the day!! (And who wants
"work" coffee after drinking yours?!!!) Anyway, I'm telling all my friends
here/at work about it. I'm wearing your T-shirt (Dead Man's Reach) to the
gym today also.
Thanks so much for the GREAT coffee!!

Hi!
I want to thank you folks for the yummy coffee and to tell you of a very
nice experience we had in your Ketchikan roasting plant.
My wife's sister and her husband are long-time residents in Ketchikan, and
took us to see the sights.
He knew where the roasting plant was (after having found it by mistake), and
took us there. We boldly walked in, and even though they appeared busy, Nate
and the folks at the plant showed us all around. Nate was VERY nice, and
told us about the continuing higher-quality efforts of Raven's Brew
roasters. THANK YOU NATE!
We hung around for an hour and said goodbye, noses full of the
delicious aroma of my favorite coffee.
The day before we left we loaded up a small suitcase with the Brew, courtesy
of the A&P, who also are nice folks in their own right!
My faves are the Deadman's Reach and Three-Peckered, while my wife is
currently very much enjoying the decaf.
I also want to thank you for the extremely convenient online ordering
option, the trip from WI to Ketchikan is a long one, but worth it for the
coffee!
Again, Thanks, and keep up the good work!

I have just recently published a historical thriller entitled .. I wanted to
let you know that everywhere I've been on my tour I've recommended your
coffee. In doing research on the book, I decided to sample coffees from as
many gourmet mail order venders as I could, but you guys are the absolute
winners, and I've been devoted ever since my first order.
Many thanks for keeping me properly caffeinated while I work,

[our note: the book was a best seller]

Dear Guys (and Gals):
A few years ago while visiting Anchorage I found your coffee in a store. In all honesty I really bought the bag of Dead Man's Reach because I liked the artwork on the bag and the name. I figured: How different can it REALLY be? Well...I was wrong. I have been buying it ever since thru your website. It is the only coffee I enjoy anymore and I have giving it as gifts and have sung your praises to anyone who will listen. I've even converted a few. On a more serious note, I have some serious health problems that (because of the acid in most coffees) had led me to give up drinking coffee. I don't know if it is the way you roast your beans or what, but with your coffee I have no problems. Thank you for giving me one of my few 'guilty pleasures' back!!!
Take care and keep roasting!
JB
